The Short North used to have a reputation for tricky parking, but recent changes have made a big difference, and most guests are able to find a spot without much (or any) trouble.

Street parking

There is metered parking available on High St directly in front of the salon, as well as on nearby streets including Buttles, Hubbard, and Warren. Most meters accept credit cards and mobile payment through the ParkColumbus app.

Garage parking
  • The Hubbard Garage on Hubbard Ave, just east of High St
  • The Joseph Garage on E Russell St, just west of High St

Parking validation: Phia Salon can validate garage parking to grant you two hours of free parking at select Short North garages with a same-day validation. This benefit is available 7am–7pm, seven days a week, and validations remain valid upon exit as long as the parking session begins before 7pm.

Free parking

Meters are free on Sundays and certain holidays. Free street parking is also available west of Neil and north of King.

Important note: Parking directly behind the salon is permit-only. Vehicles without a permit may be towed.

Service levels reflect a stylist’s experience, advanced education, technical skill, and the demand for their time.

Our training-level professionals (often called apprentices) offer services at a lower price point. Appointments may take longer because their service plan and work are supported and checked by a higher-level stylist.

While our apprentices are always new to our salon, they are not necessarily new to the industry. All have completed formal cosmetology education, and many bring prior salon experience before joining our team.

Of course, we never want budget to get in the way of someone’s hair vision. We recommend considering a lower service level or an apprentice stylist.

Another option is to break appointments up over time and ask the stylist to create a long-term plan that fits your friend’s budget.

In some situations, guests may also have the opportunity to receive discounted services by serving as a hair model for one of our professionals, which helps support their education and portfolio.

Your personal information is not shared with any entity beyond your salon of service and our service, systems, and support provider, Phia Concept Salons.

When you provide enough notice for us to make alternate arrangements for the time of your service, it supports the well-being of our stylists and helps us best serve all of our guests.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, you’re welcome to update your appointment online (if it was booked online), call or text the salon, or reach out directly to your stylist if you’re already in communication. For last-minute changes, contacting the salon directly is the best option, as your stylist may not be back in the salon for a few days.

Without a deposit

  • Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice: Deposit is non-refundable.
  • 24–72 hours: 50% refund.
  • More than 72 hours: Full refund or transfer.

Rescheduling: If a guest reschedules a deposit appointment, the deposit forfeiture terms above still apply. However, during the rescheduled visit, the guest may request that the amount forfeited be applied toward the service total. The service provider will make this determination based on factors such as the timing of the cancellation, schedule impact, product or processing costs already incurred, and the guest’s overall appointment history.

NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

When you enter any Phia Concepts location, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the premises, you consent to, photography and recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by any Phia Concept location and its affiliates and representatives. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote salon services and exhibit the capabilities of staff members of Phia Concept Salons. You release Phia Concept Salons, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings. By entering the premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment of royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether or not a fee was charged for services rendered. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by staff at any Phia Concept Salon (or the person or entity designated to do so by any Phia Concept Salon). You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the premises.

If you are not completely satisfied with a retail purchase made at a Phia Concept flagship location, you’re welcome to return the product to the original store of purchase. A full refund or in-store credit may be offered depending on the situation.

Please note that return policies may vary at certified, endorsed, and trained partner salons.

Refunds and in-store credits are processed as outlined below:

  • Items purchased in-store and returned within 30 days of your original purchase date, along with your digital receipt or system verification, will be refunded or exchanged at your preference.
  • Refunds will be processed to the card on file.
  • Items accompanied by a receipt or system verification but returned after 30 days will not be eligible for a refund. Instead, we will gladly offer you a product exchange or merchandise credit, up to 90 days after the purchase, provided the item has not been discontinued.
  • It is possible to bring back just one of the products from a BOGO or B2GO special. In that case, you may choose a replacement for a faulty product or exchange for a product of the same or lower price. If you choose a replacement product at a higher price, you pay the difference between the initial price and the exchanged product.
  • Any products not verifiable within our system will be ineligible for a refund, exchange, or store merchandise credit.

We are committed to delivering the results outlined during your consultation, and guest experience is deeply important to us. If your result does not align with your agreed-upon service plan, please notify the salon within 7 days of your appointment so we can support you. In situations where your result does not match what was outlined in your consultation, we offer a complimentary adjustment. Please note that all complimentary adjustments must be completed within 10 days of the original service.
